The Boogiemen began as a side project for Kevin Heckeler and Lewis Benko.  Sitting in on vocals and doing some lyric writing is Kevin's old friend Scott Watts.  Also contributing drum loops/sampling on a few songs was Californian friend Robert Rogers.

The band took a break during 2004 and have returned with a renewed sense of purpose and are looking forward to more musical experimentation.

The Rudy Strooglitz page was Lew's creation, Kevin helped with photo-chopping some of the pictures for mock advertising.  It remains incomplete as a tribute to something deep.

Kevin Heckeler: Self-taught producer of such other hit bands as Slightly Dimmed and Dischord, Kevin was really stretching his mental capacity by using absolutely any part of his mind during these recordings.  Biggest influences are Rush, Frank Zappa, Tool, Pink Floyd, QOTSA, Dream Theater, Primus, Yes, ... the list goes on.

Lewis Benko: Lewis, also known as Lonesome Lewis, is from a small town in CT.  He began to play the guitar at age 11, and was introduced to the blues by age 15.  Some of his favorite artists include Mississippi John Hurt, Prokofiev, Cecil Taylor, Captain Beefheart, and Buckethead. Scott Watts: singer, songwriter, screenwriter, filmmaker and schizophrenic, is a proud resident of Los Angeles, California (and by proud he means (yes he, don’t act so surprised, he is clearly writing this himself…) he means that he regularly suffers from intense road rage, refers to himself as a transplant and as a proud New Yorker (at which time everyone assumes he means New York City) and has consumed Avocado in the last twelve hours) took vocal lessons at a very young age from a wild pack of Hyenas and an old, wise Howler Monkey, who liked to sit in the sun and listen to Jazz because of how it made his hair feel when the trumpet player hit those high notes, in a one room school-house in a very remote part of Maine that smelled like feet and fresh-cut flowers.

Today he thinks he still likes music.  He says it helps him make sense of all the chaos!  Or maybe he’s thinking too much!

Oliver:  He's a cat and meows on "I have thoughts in my mind".  His favorite people are silly, passionate, and willing to clean his litter pan.
